All the Staff of the four branches of Access Bank in OTA Ogun State came together and utilise the Maulud Nabbiy holiday window to strengthen the bond between them using sport.
The ultra-modern Covenant University main bowl was a beehive of activities as many of the bankers tropped out in their numbers as early as 7 am with their jerseys, shorts and boots.
The bankers divided themselves into two groups of 11 players each making two teams and engaged themselves in a novelty match which ended in 2-1.
According to the event coordinator, Mr Bidemi who doubles as the branch manager of Covenant branch of the bank said the event is created to build more bonding among staff and to increase efficiency at work by relieving stress through exercising the body.
In his words, We are using this as a form of stress-relieving exercising and also to increase the bonding among the staff which in turn increase efficiency at work and continue to satisfy our customers which is the ultimate goal.
The astute administrator said this is just the beginning of what to come as it is going to be a monthly exercise when asked about the future of the work out and exercise
” It’s not going to be football only, there will be aerobics sessions too. We want as many staff as possible to be involved. It’s all about keeping fit and our health and we can only perform on the job optimally when we are healthy” he said.
The staff of the four branches of Access Bank in Ota fully participated as the atmosphere was charged with fun and banters activated by many funny football moves and skills.
