Nigeria’s heavyweight boxing sensation, Onoriede ‘Onos’ Ehwarieme who is also known as Godzilla has returned to the classroom in his bid to get University education.
The current World Boxing Federation Intercontinental heavyweight champion was among thousands of students that got matriculated at the prestigious University of Benin campus on November 6, 2020.
The highly elated boxer said he decided to return school because there is life after boxing and expresses confidence that his schooling won’t affect his boxing career.
” There is life after boxing, as I have many plans for the future and getting the right education makes it easier to achieve after my boxing career”. Onoriede said.
When he asked if his boxing career won’t be affected by his education, he said it will only make him more focused.
“This new venture won’t affect my boxing career instead it calls for more focus and I will give it my best shot”, the Sapele boxer submits.
The boxer who bagged a diploma in Accounting at Delta State Polytechnic Otefe Oghara years back is admitted to the University of Benin to study human kinetics, a four-year course that will see him graduate in 2024.
